The Mass Explained

The Church teaches that the Mass is the “Source and Summit” of the Christian life — everything flows from and is directed toward the Eucharist, where Christ is truly present.

What we believe

“In the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1324). Holding true to the belief of the Church Fathers, we believe the Mass should be the most meaningful event in our life.

The Mass unfolds in two great movements: the Liturgy of the Word, where God speaks to us through the Scriptures, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist, where bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ.
