Become Catholic (OCIA)
Curious about the Catholic faith, or ready to complete your sacraments? The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is where you begin — and you can start any time.
Continuous enrollment. You do not have to wait for the fall. Sessions begin with lunch after the 11 a.m. Mass on the second Sunday of each month, with class from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Come as you are, with your questions.
Who OCIA is for
- Adults who have never been baptized and want to become Catholic.
- Baptized Christians from another tradition seeking full communion with the Catholic Church.
- Baptized Catholics who still need First Communion or Confirmation (adult confirmation).
How to start
Reach out to catechesis@st-theresa.org or call the parish office at (512) 451-5121. Tell us a little about where you are on your journey, and we will welcome you into the next session.
Not ready to commit yet?
If you're still exploring and want a lower-commitment way to learn more first, consider Catholicism 101, a weekly evening class open to anyone — no enrollment required. Many people take it alongside OCIA or before starting.
