Marriage & Family Life

Supporting marriages and families at every stage — a ‘Between the Masses’ seminar series for parents, Natural Family Planning instruction, and enrichment weekends for couples wanting to reconnect.

  • Family Ministry — a ‘Between the Masses’ seminar every so often, right after the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass during catechesis, on real parenting and family-life topics.
  • Natural Family Planning (NFP)
  • Marriage Ministry — enrichment weekends and retreats for couples at every stage.
  • Mothers' Ministry (MOYC) — fellowship and support for mothers of children of any age.

Family Ministry

A few times a year, Family Ministry hosts a ‘Between the Masses’ seminar — stay about 30 minutes after Coffee & Donuts following the 9:00 AM Mass while kids are in catechesis, and hear from a parishioner or local expert on real family-life topics. Recent sessions have covered Parenting in the Digital Age with a parishioner pediatrician, Heavenly Order: Decluttering 101, and New Year, New Rhythm: Letting Go and Leaning In. Childcare is typically offered and there's no need to RSVP.

Family Ministry also hosts informal get-togethers through the year, including a family dinner to close out the school year and casual family playdates over the summer.

Natural Family Planning

NFP teaches spouses to understand fertility and work with it — mutual, communicative, scientifically based, and highly effective, with no harmful side effects. Our introductory seminars satisfy the Diocese of Austin marriage-preparation requirement and cover the four diocesan-approved methods.

Marriage Ministry

Beyond parish-based support, married couples can go deeper through diocesan programs — Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekends and the Diocese of Austin's Marriage Enrichment evenings both help couples refresh their sacrament, in a retreat-style format with a small registration fee. Ask the parish office about the next upcoming date.

Mothers' Ministry (MOYC)

Mothers of children of any age — and expectant moms, too — are welcome at MOYC, a relaxed, flexible group that meets during the school year in the Family Center Nursery. Kids are part of the gathering, not something to plan around.
