55+
Fellowship, faith, and fun for our 55+ community — and by far the busiest ministry on the parish calendar. Mahjong and Bridge meet weekly, a Lunch & Learn lands most months, Vespers with a neighboring parish falls on the fourth Sunday, and trips, socials, and a couple of beloved annual parties round out a calendar that rarely has an empty week.
- Mahjong and Bridge meet weekly in the Family Center — no partner or experience needed, just show up.
- A Lunch & Learn most months after the 11:30 Mass, on real topics like Cookies, Questions & AI, Spring Planting, Skin Cancer 101, and a deacon sharing his path to ordination.
- Sung Vespers with St. Louis King of France Catholic Church every fourth Sunday, followed by a social at Bartlett's.
- Day trips through the year — the Painted Churches tour with Fr. Larry, Fredericksburg and the National Museum of the Pacific War, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the Schoenstatt Shrine.
- Two parties everyone circles on the calendar: the summer Ice Cream Social and the January Chili Lunch, with chili donated by the Knights of Columbus — plus a fall banquet each October.
- Bunco afternoons, a Stretch & Move class, and a monthly outing to hear the Silver Creek Jazz Band at Ben Hur Shriners Hall.
